Pan Apple Fondant
I love to experiment in the kitchen and my brother loves apples, so I wanted to try a quick recipe involving apples 🙂 I baked it in the pan, and I gotta say I am quite impressed with how delicious it was, given the minimum amount of sugar.
Ingredients
- 120g of all-purpose flour
- 60g of sugar
- 1/2 tsp of baking powderÂ
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar (about 8g) or 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1 large apple
- 1/2 medium pear
- 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
- 2 medium eggs
- Optional: some butter or oil, to grease the pan
Method
- Peel and grate the apple and the half pear
- Mix together the grated fruits and add the beaten eggs
- Mix the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon) together
- Mix the dry and wet ingredients
- Grease the pan with some butter or oil, otherwise use a non-sticking pan
- Put the mixture on the pan and cook on each side on low heat for about 5 min. Check it regularly to make sure it isn’t burning 🙂
NB:
I hope you liked it! If you want, you can also try to put one large egg and add some milk. I haven’t tried this so I cannot say how different the result would be.
Also, you can substitute the vanilla sugar and extract with orange flavored sugar.
