    Peanut Butter Banana Bread

Another day, another banana bread! This time, a peanut butter banana bread. It has an amazing nutty flavor to it and the texture is quite moist as I love it! I love to play around with banana bread – I had two very (very) ripped bananas sitting in my fridge for aaages until they became all black. So I knew it was a “now or never” kinda thing. This time, I added some peanut butter. And the result is dope. I think the peanut butter + coconut oil mix just gives this cake a super soft and moist texture I adore. Hope you try and like it too 🙂 […

    Lemon Chia Seed Cake

My favorite cakes are moist, but not buttery cakes. I was sick for a few days and loaded up on lemons, so I just figured out I obviously had to do something involving lemons. And what’s better than a lemon cake? This lemon cake with chia seeds nailed it in terms of texture, and from now on I’ll be following the same ratios in baking. Rule number one, for moist cakes, is to use 1/4 cup of butter for every cup of butter. Another thing is to make use of brown or coconut sugar! sugar  The darker color of this cake comes from the fact I subsituted about 2/3 of…

    The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

If there is one recipe every baking enthusiast needs, it’s a good ol’ chocolate chip recipe. Easy and fast to make, gooey, and perfect for any occasion (or non-occasion). I have been hooked on chocolate chip cookies forever. I don’t usually dip mine in milk, though! A few comments about chocolate chips: Sugar White sugar and brown sugar do not exactly behave the same, and playing with ratios will give you different textures. Brown sugar contains molasses, which will make your cookie softer. As a general rule I like to go with a ratio of brown sugar: white sugar of 2:1 Can I substitute coconut sugar for brown sugar? Yes…

    The Best Banana Bread Recipe

If you follow my instagram, you probably know how much I love bananas, and banana bread. It’s most definitely in my top 3 favorite desserts. I have made many banana bread variations among the years. My first attempts ended up too “banany” (if that’s even a word!) or too dense, and not enough fluffy. I made this cake yesterday evening, and I absolutely fell in love with the texture of it. Banana bread is super easy to make, and you probably already have all you need at home. I always keep some bananas with me at home, some frozen to quickly threw into a smoothie or to make banana “ice…

    The Best Brownies

Guys. These brownies were the bomb. Thinking about it, I have probably made brownies one or twice at most in my life. I always get flashbacks of nice childhood memories whenever I eat some, as my mom used to (and still) does make an incredible recipe. These brownies I made are soft, moist, and just the perfect brownies texture. I also added some chocolate chunks, and when they melt the brownies become gooey and all 😍 Ok, I really need to some being too graphic, and get straight to the recipe! Ingredients 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup flour 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1/4 tsp baking powder 1/2 cup softened…

    Beefless Ground Dish

Even though I’m not a vegan, I love to eat plant based proteins and I try to have a varied diet as much as possible 😊 Beefless ground is one of my favorite substitutes, so full of flavor, filling, and it mixes well with pretty much everything! I made this dish the other day and been having it for the last few days. The recipe serves 3-5 people. Ingredients: – 3 medium carrots – 2 1/4 cup soy protein – 1 medium white onion – 1 1/2 cup garden leas – 1 tbsp of vegetable oil – 6 tbsp + 1/4 cup of water – 1 tbsp tomato paste –…

    The best Tomato Soup

I am obsessed with tomato soup. Yes, I’m also one of these weird people who (sometimes) drink tomato juice as if it was a completely sane thing to do (hey, don’t judge). Back home in Morocco eating tomatoes is a staple. If your house does not have bread or tomatoes, is it even a house ? I drink tomato soup as often as I can, but let me tell you. This recipe I made the other day is the best, creamiest tomato soup I have ever tasted. I am done with industrial soups. Seriously. Hope you try it for yourself, and why not ass a grilled cheese on the side…

    Fluffiest Pancakes

I always like me some fluffy pancakes x These pancakes are one of the fluffiest you’ll see. Made this recipe the other day and they ended up just like I expected them. The key to making fluffy pancakes is to beat the egg whites separately, and then incorporate them gradually to the batter. These pancakes are not too sweet, so they’re perfect with some maple syrup or honey on top. Ingredients:  200g flour 200ml 2% milk 1 tbsp baking powder 3 tbsp sugar 1 tbsp vanilla sugar 2 eggs 25g butter 25ml sunflower or vegetable oil Pinch of salt Instructions: In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients together Melt the…

    Coffee Pancakes

When it comes to tea or coffee, I cannot chose a side. I equally love both. I’m inclusive. A few weeks ago I made a coffee cake and it ended up so so good. So I decided to continue involving coffee in my dishes and wenr for a pancake recipe. Cause one dose of coffee in the morning ain’t enough, you see. Ingredients: • 1 cup flour • 1/4 cup coconut sugar • 3/4 tsp baking powder • 1 small or medium egg • 2 tbsp softened butter • 1 small riped banana, mashed • 1/2 cup coffee • Optional: 1 tbsp maple syrup Instructions: 1 – In a bowl,…
