Pan Apple Fondant

IMG_20160425_170453[1]

I love to experiment in the kitchen and my brother loves apples, so I wanted to try a quick recipe involving apples 🙂 I baked it in the pan, and I gotta say I am quite impressed with how delicious it was, given the minimum amount of sugar.

Ingredients

  • 120g of all-purpose flour
  • 60g of sugar
  • 1/2 tsp of baking powder
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar (about 8g) or 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 large apple
  • 1/2 medium pear
  • 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
  • 2 medium eggs
  • Optional: some butter or oil, to grease the pan

Method

  1. Peel and grate the apple and the half pear
  2. Mix together the grated fruits and add the beaten eggs
  3. Mix the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon) together
  4. Mix the dry and wet ingredients
  5. Grease the pan with some butter or oil, otherwise use a non-sticking pan
  6. Put the mixture on the pan and cook on each side on low heat for about 5 min. Check it regularly to make sure it isn’t burning 🙂

NB:

I hope you liked it! If you want, you can also try to put one large egg and add some milk. I haven’t tried this so I cannot say how different the result would be.

Also, you can substitute the vanilla sugar and extract with orange flavored sugar.
