Mojito Protein Smoothie

First of all, Ramadan Mubarak to all my friends celebrating! Today I’m bringing you this amazing Mojito Protein Smoothie, which is quite refreshing in this hot weather! Ramadan is a month where Muslims abstain from eating and drinking from dusk until sunset. It is meant as a month to improve oneself, practice patience, and increase good actions. As a natural morning person, my schedule is kinda turned upside down, especially since I like to get my sweat in the morning when the gym is empty! What I found works for Ramadan is just a bit of planning. As I plan to hit the gym straight after sunset, around 8:30pm, I have written down a list of protein smoothies recipe I will be having, as they’re easy to digest and carbs from fruits give that extra boost needed pre-workout.

The first recipe I will be sharing is a mojito protein smoothie. The first time I made a virgin mojito, I immediately liked it! I’m a more virgin pina colada kind a girl – however I always like to change and this one was filling and a nice switch from my regular protein smoothie 😊

This recipe calls for greek yoghurt however it can easily be made vegan by using any almond or soy based yoghurt. Just try to get an unsweetened and neutral flavor, as vanilla can spoil the taste of the Mojito.

For this mojito protein smoothie smoothie you’ll need:

Greek yoghurt (better to use unsweetened)

Lemon zest

Milk

Sweetener

Mint Leaves

Banana
