Classic iced cake
Classics never go out of fashion, right! I made this yummy cake the other day and I’m in love 🙂 I don’t really have a sweet tooth, thank God for that, but I do appreciate a moist cake from time to time. However, the sugar overload is sometimes ridiculous! Especially as it is absolutely not necessary. The secret is so put egg whites instead of whole eggs. That’s less fat, and the taste is absolutely the same, believe me! But well, enough talking, let’s talk about the real superstar here.
Gorgeous.
I mean, come on!
Okay. I need to stop the foodporn now. Let’s dooo this
Ingredients
For the cake:
- 3/4 cup of white flour //Â 1/2 cup of brown flour //Â 2/3 cup of brown sugar //Â 1 tsp of baking powder //Â 2 egg whites //Â 1/3 cup of soy milk // 2 tbsp of butter
For the icing :
- 1 cup of icing sugar //Â 2-3 tsp of soy milk (I’d recommend to add it carefully so that the icing doesn’t become too liquid)
Instructions
1- Mix all the dry ingredients together // 2- Mix all the liquid ingredients in a separate bowl // 3- Gradually add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients // 4-Pre-heat the oven to 360 F or 180 C for about 10 min // 5- Bake for about 25-30 min or until ready 🙂
