Batbout (Moroccan Semolina Pan Bread)

No bread ? No problem. This moroccan semolina bread is called “batbout” and it’s pretty much superman, as you literally cook it in a pan. For 1 medium batbout or 2 small ones:


Ingredients:
1/2 cup fine semolina // 1/4 cup all-purpose flour // 1/2 tsp yeast // a pinch of salt // about 1/3 cup of warm water

Instructions:
In a large bowl, add the flour, semolina, yeast and salt // gradually add the water to form a non-sticky dough // Form a ball and let it rest for about 45 min // When ready, spread the dough circularly until is about 1 cm thick // Grease a pan with butter and cook on low heat on both sides until you get these brown spots // Best enjoyed with butter and honey or maple syrup for the vegan version 🙂
