    Oriental Chickpeas with Tomatoes

I love simple meals (mainly because I have close to no patience when I’m hungry 😂) but the other day I felt like making something a little bit more sophisticated 😎 This chickpeas dish is full of flavor and can be taken on its own, as a side dish or with some basmati rice. Hope you like it!

    Chocolate Protein Balls

Guys. In the past to criminals in the Roman Empire, they used to attach each one of their limbs to a horse. Then order the horses to run in all directions. Ouch. I feel like life is trying to do that to me. So many things to do which have NOTHING to do with each other. Gotta process my simulations result. Prepare my french lessons (I’m a french teacher too). Work on the model of a CubeSat satellite we’re trying to send into space – if we win the competition – with ANOTHER team. On top of that I’m preparing for the Dobson cup. Now don’t get it wrong, I…

Skin routine (oily, acne prone and sensitive skin)

One of the best things about being an adult lady is you can buy whatever beauty products you like and pamper yourself. And when I say whatever I mean I have tried millions of products. I have an oily skin, and you know what they say, in 30 years from now I’ll be grateful I have one, as oily skins age far less. However I’m in my twenties, and as much as I’d like to shine, I’d rather not have my face shine. I ALSO have an acne prone (even though I don’t have it anymore, I still get a few spots here and there, and in the WORST places,…

    Vegan cornmeal pancakes

I love pancakes. Who doesn’t like nice fluffy american pancakes, dripped with maple syrup ? I am also always up for a twist. I had cornmeal left from Thanksgiving, so I gave these cornmeal pancakes a try 🙂 They’re also vegan, making them suitable for people with lactose intolerance or egg allergy. There you go: Ingredients 1 cup of soy milk // 0.5 cup of flour // 0.5 cup of cornmeal // 1 tsp of baking powder // 2tsp of sugar // 1.5 tsp of margarine Chocolate Sauce 1 tsp of cocoa powder // 1 tsp of icing sugar // 2tsp of water

    Spiced cake

I love it when I try a recipe for the first time and it works. Like super well. Well, I was procrastibaking the other day and decided baking a cake but with spices would be appropriate. Ingredients (serves 10) 3/4 cup of white flour // 3/4 tsp of baking powder // 1/4 cup of sugar // 1 tsp of honey // 1.5 tsp f all spices // 1/3 cup of raisins // 2 egg whites // 1/4 cup of spiced tea (Got mine from David’s Tea) Instructions Preheat the oven (180 C or 375 F)…

    Classic Fluffy Bagels

Ah Bagels. God’s gift to man. One of the best inventions of all times. Now I used to live in the UK, where bagels with salmon and cream cheese are an institution (and I do miss them a lot). Montreal bagels are also delicious, albeit different. Basically, british bagels are fluffier and Montreal bagels are “harder” and poached in honey water, to give them a sweet flavor. I wanted to try and make my own bagels the other day, and after having looked at various recipes online, I came with my own recipe, light and vegan 🙂 Talking with different people, I always get ‘baking is hard’ – it isn’t,…

Since I moved to Canada, I’ve been so obsessed with fall, and doing all the activities related to it. It’s probably because I have always lived in countries where the fall season is not that obvious. I am still amazed at the beautiful orange/red/yellow shades of leaves. To celebrate fall and pumpkins, I prepared these cupcakes the other day. Look at this cute little tower (NB: they may or may not have fell after I took this picture).   Here is the recipe 🙂 Ingredients 1/2 cup of wholewheat flour // 1/4 cup of white flour // 1tsp of baking powder // 40g of brown sugar // 2 egg whites…

    Classic iced cake

Classics never go out of fashion, right! I made this yummy cake the other day and I’m in love 🙂 I don’t really have a sweet tooth, thank God for that, but I do appreciate a moist cake from time to time. However, the sugar overload is sometimes ridiculous! Especially as it is absolutely not necessary. The secret is so put egg whites instead of whole eggs. That’s less fat, and the taste is absolutely the same, believe me! But well, enough talking, let’s talk about the real superstar here. Gorgeous. I mean, come on! Okay. I need to stop the foodporn now. Let’s dooo this Ingredients For the cake:…

5 reasons why I say yes to solo trips (and you should, too)

I honestly cannot count the number of times I’ve heard people say “oh, I really wish I could go there and there, but I have no on to go with and blah blah blah”. I believe that you’ll only go so far in life if you believe you can’t have fun by yourself. Constantly depending on others or looking down on those me-time will never make you happy. Learn how to have fun by yourself first, and then learn how to have fun with others. In this order. I’m not saying it is easy. For instance, there is still this big stigma of eating alone in a restaurant for example. Well,…
