Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
On the one hand we got peanut butter cookies. Heaven. On the other hand we got chocolate chip cookies. Once again heaven. I always wondered why it rarely occurs to people to mix both. Then I stopped wondering and decided to just go for it and make these biscuits. They’re moist. Sweet but not too much. And you can definitely taste the peanut butter. And the melting chocolate chips.
French Toast with Homemade Strawberry Jam
I absolutely love french toast. My mom used to make it quite regularly when we were kids. I prefer to cook the bread in a greased pan instead of dipping it in oil. Out of laziness surely (🙈) but also because french toast still tastes good if you cook it in a greased pan. In this recipe, you also get to make your own strawberry “jam” which is cool. Hope you like it 🙂
Pumpkin Seeds and Almond Porridge
Porridge is one of my favorite food and breakfast. So easy to make, so fast, so cheal amd so customizable. The thing is to make it creamy (subsitute half of the water for milk) and add a pinch of salt (very important step, as salt enhances the taste and really DOES make a difference). Hope you try this recipe x Porridge is one of my favorite food and breakfast. So easy to make, so fast, so cheal amd so versatile. Boston Guide : 24 hours in Boston
A good english friend of me, Charlotte, organised a BBQ for her upcoming birthday and I received an invite via Facebook. Boston was always at the back of my mind, but I never put a day on it. After a few hours of hesitating, I finally decided to hurt my debit card and get a bus ticket to Boston. I only spent two days there, but absolutely fell in love with the city and its beautiful architecture. Boston is special in that, while you feel like you’re living in a big multicultural city, a lot of main sights are at a walking distance. The city has also put into place…
Banana Oats Chocolate Chip Cookies
I always like a good chocolate chip cookie. I do not have a particular favorite dish or food (yes, I know) because it’s like having to chose your favorite one among your kids (just to let you know, my mama would pick me obviously if she had to chose). However, I always enjoy a nice cookie. A real one. Not an industrial one. All buttery and sweet and soft and crunchy at the same time. Actually, this recipe is probably blasphematory to the real deal, but I did like it. And it involves bananas 👌
Banana Bread Breakfast Muffins
By now you all know my love for bananas and banana bread 🙂 I made this refined-sugar free recipe the other day and it ended up delicious, not too sweet, which is good as I’ve never had too much of a sweet thooth.
Sunflower/Pumkin Granola Bars
Making things from scratch is cheaper, healthier, funnier, and smells better (who doesn’t like the fresh smell of a cake straight out the oven ? 😋). And man, that feeling of accomplishment if what you made ends up delicious. I made these bars yesterday very fast, I improvised and they ended up really good. Hope you’ll like them too! Oh and…these bars are refined sugar free 😊 Sunflower/Pumkin Granola Bars (serves 8) Ingredients 1 1/4 cup oats // 1/4 cup raisins // 1/2 tbsp pumkin seeds // 1/4 cup sunflower seeds // 1/3 cup honey //2 tbsp softened butter Instructions: Mix all the ingredients together // Put in a 20cmx20cm…
Condensed Milk Pancakes
I think by now everyone knows how much I love pancakes. I made those the other day, and they were just super delicious. I twisted the recipe a bit and added condensed milk to it, and I’m very glad with the result 👌 Calories have never tasted so good 😌 Condensed Milk Pancakes (serves 8) Ingredients 1 1/4 cup flour // 3/4 tsp baking powder // 2/3 cup sugar // 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk // 1/4 cup milk // 1 egg, beaten // 1/4 cup melted butter // a pinch of salt Instructions In a large bowl, mix the flour with the sugar and the baking powder // add…
Burgers with Beetroot “Coleslaw”
What I like about summer is all the BBQs of course. I made this recipe the other day and it’s the perfect one to change from your traditional burger with ketchup and yellow mustard 👌 Hope you’ll like it! Burgers with beetroot “coleslaw” (serves 2) Ingredients 1 large carrot or 2 small ones // 2 burger buns // 3-4 tbsp mayo // 1 medium beetroot // a pinch of salt and pepper // 1 tsp cumin // vegetable oil // 8 oz low-fat minced beef // some parsley and coriander Instructions Grate the carrots and the beetroot // add some salt and the mayo and mix well together // In…
Coconut Pancakes
Pancakes and me is the best love story 💕. Apparently when my parents were in the states they used to be obssessed with Aunt Jemima’s ones, and they’ve naturally transmitted the passion to me. My best childhood memories are waking up in the morning during the summer vacation to find large pancakes made by my mom qnd eat them, drizzled with a mix of butter and honey, while watching Malcolm in the Middle and Disney Channel. But enough talking, here’s the recipe 🙂 Ingredients 1/4 cup coconut flour // 1/4 cup all-purpose flour // 1/4 tsp baking powder // 2-3 tsp sugar // 1.5 tsp butter or magarine // 1…
